More…
Yes indeed this weekend is a “More…” weekend, the first of three this year. Now for those not from Ballynahinch or who are but have lived down a hole for the past 18 months “More…” is a project commissioned by the clergy of the town to bring together the Churches in prayer but also to represent the Churches and therefore Christ on the streets. On a weekly basis that means that every Friday night we hit the streets between 10pm and 2am to work with those on the streets and coming out of the clubs and pubs. Of equal importance some of us gather in the EDGE to cover the street activists in prayer. This ministry is a partnership between the EDGE and More and is called “MoreEdge”. But this weekend is different. We have a number of additional opportunities on the boil. First of all there is 48 hours of prayer (7pm Friday – 7pm Sunday) for the town being held in the EDGE, please feel free to join us. We have also combined the youth fellowships of the town to get involved in social action projects such as litter pick ups, visiting old folks homes etc, and this ministry is called “More… on the street”. The climax of the weekend however is a unity service being held in the leisure centre on Sunday night between 8 and 9.30pm.
