I have always struggled to read but always seen the value of
it, in fact now more so than ever. For
the last three years I have set myself the annual target of 6-12 books a year
and to my frustration only once have I been within the target zone and only
just. So here we are heading toward the
end of February and I am two thirds into my first book of the year. I have a
few other books on the go but progress is barely noticeable with them.
I'm currently reading Joyce Meyer’s book “Battlefield of the
Mind” and I have to say I'm really benefiting from it. If I'm honest I have always been someone who
has struggled with anxiety and have a self confidence that can come and go like the tide.
“Battlefield of the Mind” has really spoken into my life and
activated my faith in the area. I have a
far healthier mental & spiritual outlook for having read it and I am certainly
closer to God for it too. I have to
confess that in the past I allowed other peoples opinions of Joyce Meyer to
flavour my thoughts. We have no need to
go into the detail of that but for my tuppence worth it’s a quality read that
is scriptural based. The proof they say
is in the eating and I am happy to say that as I've read my anxieties have been
reducing and even sleep has been improving.
If you struggle with internal battles and I would suggest that if we are
honest most of us do it’s a book worth a read.
It certainly won’t harm you!
