Congratulations to the Linfield!!

All of us at petemartin.org would like to take this opportunity to congratulation Linfield on winning the Irish Premier League, their third trophy this season making it 3 out of 3. This leaves two cups left to win before the close of the season, the Irish Cup and the Setanta Cup (All Ireland Championship). Should Linfield win the Irish Cup it will be the first clean sweep of domestic silverware since 1962, making it Linfield’s third clean sweep. The first was in 1922.
No other team in Irish footballing history have ever made a clean sweep other than the Belfast blues.

We would also like to wish the team all the best as they travel down to Dublin for their match tomorrow night (Monday) against Shelbourne in the Setanta Cup. Our current editor will be making the journey with them and we wish him journeying mercies.

We would like to categorically deny all rumours that Linfield's manager "DJ" seen here in the middle is a secret twin of our editor !
