Time to accept that in the past on this island there were private armies with political agendas pre-ceasefire, which post-ceasefire have transformed into Irish and British mafia/triads type organisms. These organisms have moved from politically motivated activities, criminal or otherwise to activities based on corruption, power and material gain.

If this is true, then the elephant in the room is that the same organisms have current legitimate political power because of their previous identity.

Should that power be removed and if so when and how?
