Why should I vote? / Can I make a difference?
Jesus commands us to act as 'salt' and 'light' in the world (Matthew 5:13-16), and it is our responsibility to exercise political authority and stewardship over all God's creation (Genesis 1). We can make a difference as Christians. We can stand up and speak out on issues and influence the outcome of the election. In many parts of the world Christians are denied the opportunity to voice opinions in any issue. Looking at the increasing secularism and morality deficit that exists in the UK today, it can seem that the opinions of Christians are irrelevant. However, we can still vote for our political leaders, and it is important that we do so in a thoughtful and informed way. Taken from vote2003.net
