More... (This weekend in Ballynahinch)
Hi folks, as you may know this weekend is a “More” weekend and a great one at that. The weekend kicks off on Friday evening in 1st Presbyterian with Rev. Mairisine Stanfield leading a time of united prayer in 1st from 7pm to 8pm.
Immediately after, the prayer room in the Edge will open and will remain open until Sunday evening at 6pm. Please feel free to drop in anytime throughout the 48 hour period. You can call in for 5 minutes or 5 hours and as often as you like. We have encouraged members of the congregations across Ballynahinch to sign up for a slot of an hour and this so far has received a warm response. We still have individual slots free and if you would like to book one please let me know.
Both Friday and Saturday night from 10pm – 2am see the “MorEdge” team hit the streets to share God’s love with those who they meet. Please pray for favor and protection as they often go into the dark corners of the town where youth and others go to drink, share drugs and socialise.
Saturday afternoon sees a new pilot programme targeted at the shoppers in the square of the town between 12 – 3pm. There will be face painting for kids, prayer offered to those who would like to avail of it, free tea and coffee and live worship music. The youth of the Churches of the town will be helping to facilitate this.
Finally the weekend will finish with a Sunday evening service in the Methodist starting at 7pm were we will spend time in prayer, hear from Pastor Gordon McDade, meet the new Methodist minister and spend time in worship.
We look forward to seeing you all!
