Reviewing the summer

10 things I realised over the summer…

1. Fly fishing is fun but can be dangerous.
2. Renting a house short term is an uncomfortable affair.
3. Driving through Scotland, England and Wales is fun.
4. Billy Joel live in concert can be enjoyed.
5. Going for months without Linfield isn’t fun.
6. Church community is important.
7. Keeping an eye on your visa account is essential.
8. The process of moving house can drain all life blood from you.
9. You can get free access to the internet via libraries.
10. I am still interested in restoring an old car.

10 things I did over the summer…

1. Caught my first perch and roach. (Fish)
2. Visited the Lake District.
3. Bought 3 new fishing rod. (1 was a gift)
4. Spent a few days in a truck-stop on an English motorway.
5. Changed Jane’s car to a superb VW Golf.
6. Hired a boat on Lake Windermere.
7. Sold, rented and bought houses.
8. Enjoyed Donegal for a week.
9. Enjoyed Portstewart for a weekend.
10. Watched an orange march pass by my front room for 2 hours

Its good to be back in the land of blog!!
